CRITERIA
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
For outstanding TR-related volunteerism.
May be bestowed annually to only one (1) volunteer in TR-related setting.
Recipient may receive one (1) time in any ten (10) year period
Qualifications
-
Not BOD or committee member at time of nomination, selection or receipt
-
Two (2) or more years service to TR-related program/organization within jurisdiction
-
Worked toward fulfilling program/organization mission and vision
-
Excellent attendance, dependability and adherence to policy and procedure
-
Demonstrated empathy, caring and sensitivity
-
TR contribution demonstrated by one (1) of following:

Prepared, sponsored, or supported local, state or
national TR-related public policy as supported by WSTRA.

Addressed one (1) or more groups in person, on radio or TV
regarding TR and/or the program/organization volunteering for.
-
TR-related research contribution.
-
Created, designed or manufactured equipment improving recreation experiences for people with disabilities.

Raised significant funds for
program/organization volunteering for.

Other exemplary contributions to TR
and/or program/organization volunteering for.
