WSTRA RT/TR Volunteer of the Year

 

For outstanding TR-related volunteerism.  May be bestowed annually to only one (1) volunteer in TR-related setting.  Recipient may receive one (1) time in any ten (10) year period.

 

Criteria

  1. Not a WSTRA Board or Professional Recognition Committee member at time of nomination, selection or receipt.
  2. Two (2) or more years service to TR-related program/organization within jurisdiction.
  3. Worked toward fulfilling program/organization mission and vision.
  4. Excellent attendance, dependability and adherence to policy and procedure.
  5. Demonstrated empathy, caring and sensitivity.
  6. TR contribution demonstrated by one (1) of following:
  1. Prepared, sponsored, or supported local, state or national TR-related public policy as supported by WSTRA.
  2. Addressed one (1) or more groups in person, on radio or TV regarding TR and/or the program/organization volunteering for.
  3. TR-related research contribution.
  4. Created, designed or manufactured equipment improving recreation experiences for people with disabilities.
  5. Raised significant funds for program/organization volunteering for.
  6. Other exemplary contributions to TR and/or program/organization volunteering for.
