WSTRA Clinical Recreational Therapist of the Year
For exceptional contributions to clinical TR. May be bestowed annually to only one (1) clinical TR specialist or recreational therapist.
Criteria
- Certified by NCTRC® and state registered as a recreational therapist.
- Not a WSTRA Board or Professional Recognition Committee member at time of nomination, selection or receipt.
- Two (2) or more years experience providing or supervising the application of TR services in a clinical setting.
- During preceding year, contributed to clinical TR in two (2) of following:
- Evidence of creative and/or innovative clinical TR treatment developed to meet a specific population or individual need.
- Documented case study of a client with a positive outcome related to TR treatment.
- Evidence of exceptional clinical TR treatment development and implementation.
- Provision of one (1) or more professional development presentations regarding clinical TR treatment.
- Authored or co-authored one (1) or more professional development publications regarding clinical TR treatment.
- Clinical supervision of one (1) or more TR students during practicum or internship in a clinical TR setting.
- One (1) or more presentations of information related to clinical TR to secondary school or higher education students.
- Other meritorious contributions to clinical TR.
