Student - Professional Mentorship Program
WSTRA provides TR students with the opportunity to be paired with TR/RT professionals anywhere in Washington state enabling the students to connect with, call and e-mail the professional for questions and advice regarding their professional preparation and career.
To participate in the Mentorship Program as either a student or professional, mark the appropriate sections and include the needed information on your membership form. If you were unable to include that information when you joined or renewed your membership, you may submit your request online.
Student's Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional working relationship.
- Regularly contact assigned professional by phone, e-mail or postal mail to determine how the relationship will meet student's needs and obtain advice, recommendations, suggestions and other information to meet those needs.
Professional's Responsibilities
- Commit to program and assigned student for one year.
- Be available by phone, e-mail and postal mail to assist assigned student to meet his/her professional preparation and career needs.
- Provide assigned student the opportunity to participate in a one-day site visit at the professional's workplace.
