RT/TR Credential Requirements
Recreational Therapy in Washington state is provided by professionals who are university trained, nationally certified and state registered. Therapeutic Recreation is provided by professionals who are university trained and nationally certified.
National certification is provided by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification®.
State registration is provided by the Washington Department of Health.
