WHO ARE WE

The Washington State Therapeutic Recreation Association represents therapeutic recreation specialists and recreational therapists working and living in Washington state.  We are affiliated with the American Therapeutic Recreation Association, the largest US membership organization representing the interests and needs of recreational therapists.

OUR HISTORY

WSTRA is the result of the merger of four TR organizations in Washington state:  Inland Northwest Chapter of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (the first chapter affiliate of ATRA), Puget Sound Chapter of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (aka: Puget Sound Therapeutic Recreation Association), Seattle TR Rounds and Washington Recreational Therapy Association.
